Left Heathrow on the 1st August to start my epic African adventure representing OAT (Olsen Animal Trust) – click the ‘About OAT’ page above for more info.
First stop ZAMBIA where I will be visiting a number of GRI projects. GRI (Game Rangers International) is a NGO working to protect and conserve wildlife primarily in and around Kafue National Park.
GRI has a very holistic approach to Conservation focusing on law-enforcement, anti-trafficking, ranger training, animal welfare and community outreach and education. The first project I’m visiting is Lilayi Elephant Orphanage based just outside Lusaka where I’ll spend some time with the rescued baby elephants and their carers. Can’t wait!!
